Before we get into the remapping process, we always start with a very thorough pre-tuning health check. Beginning it with an engine bay inspection, we’re looking and listening for anything that might be damaged or broken, squeaking or rattling, any lack of fluids or cross-contamination of fluids.

So the first part of the health check was passed successfully and then we moved on to the Diagnostic scanning. So we’re looking initially for fault codes and do that at a high level and move into scanning every vehicle module. Again this car is looking good.

This is a Bench remap, so we’ll then remove the ECU from the engine bay. Now hooked up Magicmotosport Flex directly to the pins on the ECU we’re going to go through the normal process of identifying it, reading the contents, and calibration the file-tailored stage one remap to this ECU.

Once we get a full copy of the contents of the ECU, we can then recalibrate that to add the stage one ECU Remapping.

When everything’s done, we’ll disconnect our tools and equipment, take a final test drive, check everything’s performing okay, do some more diagnostic testing, and then hand the vehicle back to the owner.
