If you’re looking to enhance the performance of your vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission, gearbox TCU remapping is the perfect complement to our engine ECU remapping.

We offer gearbox remapping for a wide range of automatic transmissions, including ZF6 and ZF8 torque converter automatics, DSG, Tiptronic, S-Tronic, and 7G-Tronic, among others. Unlock your vehicle’s full potential with transmission tuning, allowing faster, smoother gear changes and increased torque for a markedly improved driving experience.

When tuning the engine management system, torque limiters are increased. However, if the vehicle is equipped with a DSG/ZF8 gearbox the engine output will be limited by the torque limiter set in the DSG/ZF8 module. We raise the torque limiter to match the engine torque output.

Shift speeds can be increased by up to 20%, this reduces lag and improves acceleration. The quicker shift speeds will also give a smoother transition between gear changes and improve paddle shift response time.

RPM limits and shift set points can be adjusted in drive and sports modes. Adjusting the rpm limiter as part of the engine ECU remap is not enough on a DSG/ZF8 equipped vehicle. The DSG/ZF8 ECU will determine at what rpm the gear shift takes place
